Glendening...Potential cost - Frederik Gauthier and a low-to mid round draft pick.

Given that other playoff teams/contenders also want these players, I'd say do it, do it now! If this is the cost of doing business, it seems pretty fair to me.

Carrick and Gauthier don't inspire Babcock's confidence or trust. Non-first round draft picks are useful lottery tix for the future, but we need the help now. Plus, the Leafs are loaded with prospects they can't find spots on the 50-man roster for.

I cannot believe I just read a proposed offer that legitimately said wed need to give up kapanen AND a first round pick for Chris freaking tanev. That's disgusting in every sense of the term.

I haven't slept much, maybe I'm losing it. But ive read it 4 times and it still says in this article under defenseman with term remaining that the potential cost for tanev is kapanen and a 2018 or 2019 first rounder.

At that price, can we please just stick to drafting and making the opportune signing / trade. Please. That's insanity.
